I've been there. The less you weigh, the less calories you burn in said workout

Started off skinny, got swole (5'8 215), then got fat after my girl of seven years threw me to the bushes (5'8" 260 lbs) then got back down to 5'8 200 (so pissed that I lost all that muscle :to:. It mostly came out of my arms and thighs)

That said I was able to get down to 215 with just diet and cardio but plateaued there because my body became so effecient running for an hour straight.

I was only able to break the 15% bodyfat mark and get down to 10% by doing HIIT (basically doing ten 100 meter yard sprints and 8 rounds of battle ropes).

Ok, that was a lot to type up for what I really wanted to ask.

Do you ever switch up your routine? Because like me you may have a plateau issue. Once you get to a certain fitness point HIIT may be a lot more beneficial than cardio (though cardio is still important because it's good for heart health)

Yeah... I am a distance runner at heart.... I am slowly moving away from running and getting into strength training, boot camps and hi interval training

You takin it left field, she 100% correct

Yea in a way. Especially if you dating seriously, some will try to fatten you up because of the attention you get
How is that left field and where did I say she was incorrect?

Sounds like you're on your way :myman:

All things that will help break the plateau of making the "workouts"

Again... Speak for yourself... It's not easy to maintain weight loss...
It has been scientifically proven that once you lose weight, the results you get from a workout (challenging or not) is not the same as an equivalent workout prior to weight loss.

Maintaining weight loss is harder. It is not easy, whether one is consistent or not.
How is that left field?

What does what she said have to do with anyone's specific workout? its fact, the farther along you get the harder it is to get and maintain results, that's why there's a term for it called noob gains. That applies to weight loss and lifting

It's complicated for me.

I love it but I also hate it sometimes too lol.

They're definitely days where I pull up to the gym and dread walking in.

I mean do i I really wanna deadlift heavy? Or put 300 lbs over my head while I bench? Do I really have it in me to go 8 rounds working battle ropes? Im glad I can always find the energy tho bcuz it's always about the feeling afterwards. :banderas:

That said when you bust your ass in the gym you're less likely to fukk up in the kitchen

Yeah man, I have to cycle off lifting heavy. Joints, tendons, and all that getting torn up. But I feel bad if I don't do anything. I just had surgery on my knee, and I still do little homeworks to maintain and burn calories.

Chicken is a gift from the lord....Good as fukk too

You can do so much with the shyt while dieting....

Even if you feigning for a late night snack, you're better off eating a piece of grilled chicken than a bag of chips.

And that shyt 6$ a pack for breasts at Aldis :blessed:

Take a pack out then season grill, bake, whatever and you got meals for the next few days. Make spinach wraps, salads, sandwiches or just eat with broccoli ( or your favorite vege ) and cheese

And you save money on top of that :leon:

You are doing to much.

She said in the post "maintain" then stated that studies show getting the same results are difficult. Those are entirely the same.

My question was fairly simple in wondering what they deemed a workout.

I was questioning the variables of the study.

Wasn't attacking her......

I just think theres too many health myths and marketing from supplement companies that confuse people and over complicate the subject. It makes losing weight become some huge mountain to climb. I've lost a bunch a weight over the last year and the main thing people are asking me is how much protein powder should they take and which kind is the best :snoop: Or people will go on these crazy diets and then fail and become discouraged.
