Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
btw don’t worry about the governor. According to him he has done a real good job and the only reason why people are fleeing NY state is because of the weather

:mjlol:

Why are people leaving New York? Cuomo says weather.

AP) Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday blamed upstate weather for New York's continuing population decline, a day after his Republican challenger said Cuomo's economic policies had failed to stanch the flow of migrants heading to other states.

Nothing to save face about...it’s a different world out here post 9/11

When nikkax heard Clinton was setting up shop uptown in 2000 that should have been the sign to buy. At the same time we never saw no shyt like this before so how could people know?

An unknown major issue with the finances of this city are the pensions of city/state workers.

Off the top of my head, i heard its at 33k already and growing since the pop is so crazy more city workers are needed.

To be paying a dirty rat cop 90k annually from lets say 45 til thier death is crazy.

I say all that to say, hence why cost of living and taxes are what they are.

Btw my theory as to cities becoming expensive is that people in politics aren’t going to change a thing as long as it’s wealthy people coming in.

Back in the day when NYC actually lost population because of the crack epedemic politicians did a lot of attract middle class New Yorkers back to the city.

Not the case anymore.

On the bright side I’m going to make a thread about the the new proposal the city is trying to make to tax wealthy people who buy apartments to keep them empty in Manhattan.
