So 50% or half of eligible voters are independent.

Which leaves about 25%/25% Dem/Rep....so if my 6th grade Eastern North Carolina education was worth the the tax paying dollars that means about 12.5% (or slightly less) of eligible voters want to abolish ICE

Only 79% of the voting aged population was registered to vote in 2016.

Of that roughly 59% of eligible voters voted. That's a presidential year.

So if we're talking numbers going into a midterm were turnout is significantly lower around 40%.

These numbers hold more sway than you might think. And it's likely most of the unsure voters didn't make that choice out of shame, but they're likely drop-off voters who won't participate in the upcoming election.

I don’t believe in countries and borders, however that’s the order of the world. Why should some be allowed to illegally enter a country and be congratulated for it?

I don’t hate illegal immigrants. I have family who are illegals but come on now. Part of a nation in the modern context is having borders.

Now I like Ocasio-Cortez, but this isn’t something she should publicly express. Ice exists and it needs to be reformed but abolishing it may be too much. It’s shyt like this that will cost democrats more and more in the future
