Did y'all really think progressives in congress were doing the fight for 15 to help high school kids like Rethugs tried to lead y'all to believe?

Yes they did. This dumbass forum has no idea how capitalism works. Case in point this moron right here:

It's hard out there. America is no exception :francis:

Are You in the Top 1 Percent of the World?
  • An income of $32,400 per year would allow someone to be among the top 1% of income earners in the world.
  • To reach the top 1% worldwide in terms of wealth—not just income but all you own—you’d have to possess $770,000 in net worth.
  • The bar to enter the top 1% wouldn't be this low were it not for the extreme poverty that so much of the globe endures.

I hate this. Earning in the top 1% and having the purchasing power in the top 1% are 2 different things. If we could all spend our earnings in Mexico it wouldn’t be disingenuous.

What does purchasing power have to do with how little people are earning globally?
i assume they are talking about Debt. For example I have family in the '3rd world' and while they make little, they don't have the 1st world stress many have when it comes to bills. Not saying their life is any better just providing context.
