Cause too many of these dudes come into the league as overgrown children, make millions playing a children's game and never learn what being an adult really means, so when all the parasites that were feasting off them leave they have no idea how to handle themselves. And that's not even taking into account the physical and mental abuse they've suffered for years.
End of the day though, we all have a hard life, I can't really feel and kind of sympathy or empathy (or anymore than I do for the average person struggling to get by) for men who got paid millions to play a game.

Man.. I have no idea what happened to his bread..... He had a gang of endorsement during and after his career... he should be getting 6 figures alone just off appearances and autographs.....

I would be shocked if he actually made enough money to last a lifetime. He was pre free agency and never made a probowl. In his prime he was a gimmick

Dude... he had a G.I. joe figure.. and a popular BBQ sauce.. and countless other endorsements... and this is after his playing career
He was in a ton of commercials and endorsed some products while he was playing... He's easily made 10 million dollars off of endorsements over his lifetime thus far

Damn shame how S.I. keeps reporting on dude. I remember his cover story when they did a "Where are they now" and he was laying bricks and saying he was broke.
Its also crazy how when we here about these stories that 90% of them are Black, like their White counterpart aren't fukking up money also. Not trying to make this about race, just pointing out how they do this.
