if money's your religion, then yes it is "better". and it has little to do with "fitting in". i don't think someone who's black would avoid a basketball career just because they want to "fit in". anyways, most people in america choose jobs based off of expected income and the odds of them achieving it and less off of their personal passion for something. money is at the route of the whole topic. so i doubt they'd try to "fit in"...
