Da Last Don was basically a fake retirement album since Too Short and countless others were one some "I'm out of hip hop...I'll drop next year" shyt. P came out with "Only God Can Judge Me" during the fall of 1999 which was plain whew. But yeah, Cash Money was pretty much on the neck of No limit and I was the biggest No Limit stan during that time.

Wasn't feeling only God can judge me although I remember the singles vividly. 99 was a great year for hip hop...for the most part.

Part of the problem is they have a propensity to give away matches for free on TV all the time instead of keeping combatants away from each other until the ppv and using TV time to establish new contenders/ build new talent

I think they have no problem giving away free matches nowadays. Between the extra hour of RAW and 1.5 million monthly subscriptions, they're eating pretty well.
