Loma made me laugh at the end with how adamant he was on the “Jesus Christ Orthodox Church” tip.

Always interesting and often disappointing how race and even religion come into play with boxing.

24yo Black American undisputed champion (who happens to be of Islamic faith) wins a close fight in his home country and home/residence state, and is booed relentlessly afterward. Why?

Loma turned it into a battle of the gods after the fight just because Haney thanked Allah a couple times.
:russ:
The crowd cheered too...alhamdulilah doesn't go over too well for most ppl...unless you're beterbiev lol

That’s campaigning at 47 and was competitive with Keith Thurman.

Okay. :yeshrug:

He wasn’t dropped a single time either by a man who’s much bigger than Tank. You got it.

However, all roads lead to Tank not vice versa. If you’re confident in Haney beating Tank and eating those punches then salute 🫡 to you.

cuz the judge gave loma the 10th round which is cap

edit:
if you take away rounds 11 and 10 that obviously loma won, haney outlanded loma 103-93:ohhh:

How that cap…That was still a close round.

Rewatch that round and really rewatch it Loma had a flurry that which he only landed only 2 glancing blows..Loma was out here trying to steal rounds. Haney eeked out that round or it could have went either way. Haney controlled most of that round.

loma won that round no ifs ands or buts, outlanded him by alot, 10th and 11th round were easiest rounds to score

This the reason I can’t really watch boxing like that.

If I was a hardcore fan of the sport it probably wouldn’t bother me as much but being somewhat a causal, I be legit getting upset when these commentators be clearly bias .. shyt feels like someone purposely gaslighting me for 12 rounds straight.

I keep asking myself the whole fight, “yo am I tripping, that nikka ain’t even land any of those punches they keep hyping”

I can’t do it lol

:heh:
I thankfully watched the british feed
Which was slightly less bias.

Many of those Loma flurries were blocked

How though? Linares was able to at least drop Loma. Teofimo literally BEAT him. WAY more decisive win too. This fight just elevated Teo’s win over Loma.

Haney didn't have the power to keep a shopworn 35 year old Loma honest. Crazy.
Loma ALREADY had lost before Teo, and more decisively at that :dead:

pokemon logic doesn't work with fighters and even then Haney beat Linares too, didn't get knocked down (even though people meme about the one time he was visibly hurt) and beat the dude that beat Teo, twice.

Loma just being salty, which is expected. I'm a sore loser sometimes too and not nearly as accomplished as he is.
According to Loma he has no losses:laff:. It's absurd some folks think he won though, what fight were they watching.

Hell yeah he did. Didnt you watch?

He had beautiful body work the whole fight He remained in control and returned all fire that came his way... even when he gassed in the 11th and was getting tagged, he bit down, made his adjustments and shut the door in the 12th like a champion is supposed to. Plain and simple he won more rounds against a tough opponent.

Who at 135 has fought someone like Loma? Anyone? Again youre making it seem like Loma is just a cab driver, MF was literally #1 p4p at one point and a former unified champion. He is better than anyone on the other Lightweights' resumes.

Most agree that this Loma is not as good as he used to be..hell that is what Devin Haney said and he had a hard time with him. He gassed out and had trouble landing punches in later rounds....so i don't know why you making it seem like Devin had a great showing when people expected him to WASH HIM! not have a close fight!

Personally i had Loma winning, but i am not mad at the Haney getting the decision. Does Haney have the best resume right now at 135? YES. Did he shut his doubters up after this? HELL NO! I actually think he has more doubters now then he did before the fight when it comes to facing a Shakur or Tank.

Say what you want about Haney but the man is 24 years old and defended his belts twice against former champs, which includes a hall of famer in Loma. I can’t put Tank or Shakur over Haney because they haven’t fought that level of talent and experience yet. I love Tank, but we give him more praise for beating Ryan Garcia then Haney edging out a close fight vs an Olympian and former dominant champ.

My respect for Haney went up tremendously after this fight. He could have given up based on the output of Loma in the 10th and 11th round but gutted it out and went to work in the 12th. I think this fight mad Haney better and gave him a mental edge and confidence over his opponent in his next fight. He’s definitely moving up in weight though.

Shakur I can see. The eye test is too much. And he unified his earlier weight classes iirc

Tank could beat haney for sure but the ressys atm
Arent comparable.

Fair.

But Lol at "doubters". He's going to have doubters no matter what he does. He could KO Loma in the 2nd round and ppl would say Shakur and Tank would have done it in the first. Only way he shuts everyone up is if he beats one of them, and that's what it was always gonna be regardless of how close or easy this fight with Loma was.
