Yeah it can. I know a band that has a Scottish singer and her accent doesn't come through at all when she sings. But when she talks it's pretty heavy.

I just want to say I like the Joe Hendry song but it loses me when the metal part kicks in. It's real catchy before that. Just an outsiders point of view.
