Cool but if I lived near the water I'd have a small sail boat and be gone every weekend

5. don't doordash/uber eats your food :ehh:
4. don't get a car loan :ehh:
3. don't buy designer fashion :ehh:
2. don't buy a boat :what:
1. don't have kids you can't comfortably afford :ehh:
These are all terrible pieces of advice.

5. That's not what keeps most people poor.
4. That's not even viable in many parts of the country given the state of public transit.
3. That's not what keeps most people poor.
2. Who does this even apply to?
1. Sounds good in theory, but people are gonna fukk. And sometimes they get pregnant. This just isn't realistic. China had a fukking law about this shyt and even they couldn't control it.

He's not saying that's what keeps you poor. He saying it's a waste of money for the return, then #1 was a sort of different rant that should have been separate.

Well shyt.

"Waste of money" is subjective, then.

For one guy a PS5 is a waste of money.
For another guy, drinks at the bar are a waste of money.

But depending on your perspective each have great value in terms of networking, mental health, stress relief...whatever.
Right?

But if a guy is gonna make a video talking about what's a waste of money "after becoming financially literate" I'm pretty sure that's intended to solve deeper issues....like what keeps people poor.

not having a car loan isn't realistic for most people anymore, given what happened to the car market. throwing 10k at a decent car barely exists anymore

so i'd say there's nothing wrong with having a note on a reliable 25k car. that's different than people financing a 50k+ car that they don't need/actually can't afford

you only live once, so if you want it, go for it. but as far as good financial decisions are concerned
you could easily buy at a car auction. In fact that´s where cars go if they don´t sell.
