When I saw it was over 30 min I started to :camby: but because it’s Denzel I decided to check out the first few min and that led to me watching the whole thing. It’s definitely worth the watch.

The 5 things are your:

Plans
Struggles
Finances
Good Deeds
Next Move

Sounds like common sense when you just read them but the way he broke it down make it worth the whole watch when you get a chance :ehh:

Struggles

Didnt watch the video and won't if it's an AI stealing Denzel's shine

however I want to highlight the idea of not sharing your struggle specifically. I think in this digital age that there are SOME people who can actually benefit from sharing their struggles. Sometimes you can use it to build a brand, other times you can have people reach out to you with opportunities. It's extremely variable, but I've seen this work for several people.

It's borderline like college admission essays, where there's a super weird dynamic where talking about the hardship you've experienced puts you in a position to benefit from them.

Didn’t watch. I may later today.

It’s tough being a black man. It’s tough being a family man and not having somebody to confide with you.

We all have our struggles with manhood, being a proper husband, being a great father, being a leader of our family unit and being a follower of God (if you believe in that).

To me, sharing those struggles, successes, infliction points with like minded men can be relief. It can inspire. It shows you that you aren’t the only one going through this. You can get other people’s experience on how they came out the other side.

I been on this current program for almost two years. We just won another 5 year contract. The previous contract I was on is about to end in May. I have a solid 8 guys I rock with to this day. Many have already been RIF’ed. We share each other’s plans and next moves. We encourage each other and let each other know of different job postings.

None of us move on social media. We noticed the hate, envy and foolery years ago.
