however I want to highlight the idea of not sharing your struggle specifically. I think in this digital age that there are SOME people who can actually benefit from sharing their struggles. Sometimes you can use it to build a brand, other times you can have people reach out to you with opportunities. It's extremely variable, but I've seen this work for several people.

It's borderline like college admission essays, where there's a super weird dynamic where talking about the hardship you've experienced puts you in a position to benefit from them.
I see a lot of this on linkedin when people are on their :feedme: after a layoff.


Couldnt be me broadcasting my L's like that for the world :hubie:

I learned not to overshare my struggles on previous forums I've been on. The first slight disagreement you have, people are going to use whatever they can against you. For some people, winning forum arguments are important enough to tear people down.
