The thing is these kids were probably assaulted at some point because this is like learned behavior, either they were molested, witnessed it, or saw gratuitous amounts of content on their phones of this type of stuff. The thing is the majority of registered sex offenders live on that side of town, like they are heavily concentrated in certain spots if you look at a map of residence. So they might have family members that shouldn't have been around or neighbors.

They not going to charge the parents because they didn't do it for other crimes that have gone down all summer. There were discussions of that when the Kia Boyz were really big and they kept arresting teens and pre-teens repeatedly then releasing them to parents. Eventually some of these offenders actually started to carry stolen guns and ended up using them, shooting up gas stations, rolling shootouts at intersections. with some ending in homicides that could've been prevented.

I was reading up on this and they were saying it was a girl that was a menace and the ringleader for that terrorizing the neighborhood. Was that part true?

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - New developments have emerged in a case that has sent shockwaves through the community. A 9-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl are accused of attempted murder and rape in a brutal attack on a 5-year-old victim.
Both suspects were scheduled to appear in juvenile court Wednesday morning, but only one showed up.

Courtroom Proceedings
Wednesday morning, the 10-year-old girl, accused of unthinkable crimes, entered the courtroom wearing a face mask and a pink coat. She remained silent as the prosecutor outlined the charges.
A family member sat behind the accused during the hearing. Judge Kristin Sweeney placed the 10-year-old on home detention with an electronic monitor.

Victim’s Mother Speaks Out
The victim’s mother, Antavia Kennibrew, was present in court and understandably emotional.
“This type of behavior doesn’t deserve grace. They knew what they were doing. And they were okay with that. They even played after not caring about my baby. Remember that,” said Kennibrew.

9-Year-Old Suspect Absent
The 9-year-old suspect was also scheduled to appear in court today but did not show up, with the family citing car troubles. The judge has ordered the boy to appear in court within the next week, threatening to issue an arrest warrant if he fails to comply.

This case continues to unfold with stunning twists, leaving many struggling to comprehend the circumstances.

Charges they facing
Last month, a 10-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy were indicted on the following charges by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office:
  • One count of attempted murder
  • Four counts of rape
  • Two counts of felonious assault
  • One count of kidnapping
  • One count of strangulation
Girl got home detention with ankle monitor, competency evaluation will be done. Boy didnt show.
Albores asked Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Judge Kristen Sweeney to order the defendant to home detention with an ankle monitor. The victim's mother made her own plea to the judge.

"This type of behavior doesn't deserve grace," she told Sweeney. "They knew what they were doing and they [were] OK with that. They even played after not caring about my baby.”

The defense asked Sweeney for leniency, citing concerns over the 10-year-old's competency and safety.

"I would assume that if she is put on an ankle monitor, that will become public knowledge," argued defense attorney Caitlyn Idoine. "If someone figures out where she is living and they know that she is court ordered to be there, that could pose opportunities for risk to her and her family."

Sweeney did order home detention with an ankle monitor for the 10-year-old, along with a competency evaluation. After the 10-year-old's arraignment, the 9-year-old boy was scheduled to appear for his hearing, but the boy's attorney told the judge his mother was not able to bring him to court.

"Last night and this morning, her car was broken down. She’s trying to get money together to fix it; she hasn't been able to yet," explained defense attorney Edward Borkowski. "So she's asking for a reasonable continuance. Even next week, she should be able to resolve the transportation issues and be here."

I was gonna post this update earlier. It's crazy the family said they had car trouble when the bus literally stops RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE COURTHOUSE also you can ride the train and it station is 2 blocks away. They should've issued a warrant for the parents immediately with that weak excuse. That just shows the level of responsibility that parent has. $5 for an all day pass is cheaper than parking at the courthouse:martin:
