Is some of y'all nikkas for real here. This album is without a doubt a masterpiece. The fact that it is universally acclaimed as such should have been enough to keep this trash thread from being made. I look at it as the pinnacle of Yeezys albums, the album he'd been trying to make his whole career. I mean just listen to the production its phenomenal. Like it was said before, hit POWER and tell us how you feel after. The nikka put 5000 man hours in just to write it. And it's also no mistake so many hits came off this album.

Since this album dropped features have gone way out of style. Ds2, nothing was the same, forest hills drive, tpab, barely had any.

This Album perfected feature use, but I hate features. It's still a good cd, but it's hard to get through the 12 minutes of straight cypher that is monster/so appalled. Still good songs though.

there isn't enough Kanye on the album.

Really breh :stopitslime:

Album aint a 10 but it's a fukking great album regardless

Act like runaway, devil in a new a dress, power, gorgeous, dark fantasy, monster, so appalled and blame game don't exist :francis:

All of the lights coulda been a classic but that trash ass fergie feature which was uncessary, absolutely ruined the song :snoop:

CD>LR>MBDTF>Graduation>808>>>>>>>>>that piece of shyt known as Yeezus

Edit: we all know the mixing on this shyt is awful but imagine if someone like dre mixed this album :ohhh::banderas:

:laff:

album does not hold up at all. too much clutter in that piece. its overstuffed as hell. somebody should do an investigation into how every media outlet from hipster to rockist to legacy rap outlets and internet start ups , gave this album full marks on arrival. was they tryna force feed us a masterpiece from kanye, maybe the moment when rap grabbed the white intellectual elite in the way radiohead had the previous decade?

This was my point too. I remember this was before I knew what pitchfork was, and there was so much buzz about how this was their first 'perfect' album in 10 years. How much did this really have an influence on how the public perceived it

It's a 7/10 album. When you're listening to it as a whole, it sounds pretty great, but reflecting back some of the songs aren't that good.

Gorgeous slows down the immediate energy created by Dark Fantasy, and drags on for 2-3 more minutes than needed.

Monster is a decent hip hop song, not some hip hop masterpiece critics claim it to be.

Lost in the world and Who will survive are kind of forgettable :manny: All I can remember is the Gil Scott feature
