What’s funny is BMF is more like the getting money dope game 1980’s while 8 Mile was like the tail end of the crack epidemic of the 1990’s. Crazy how BMF and other crews were helpful in how Detroit is the way it is today even though they were small potatoes while they were here.A power / BMF version of 8 mile
If they modernize it and use current popular battle rappers, it can be a decent show. Showing the come up from PWT (poor white trash) to star rapper and label owner can be a cool show if it lasts.

very curious to see how reception is for whoever they cast as em. A lot of what made that movie great was because of his acting (telling "his story") and his chemistry with Brittany Murphy (RIP). Along with the time when it came out - it works because of the aesthetic and feel, not despite it.

50 is dominating shyt with stars. I hate gangster shows but I've ended up watching most of the power spin-offs with wifey and they're wildly entertaining. I'm hooked on the new Tommy 1.
I think 50 and Eminem are gonna do this right. This is gonna be huge exposure for battle-rap. I'm sure they're not gonna fukk around with the casting. A lot of MCs will probably get a big look out of this. This will probably be a lot less cheesy then the power shows.
