Got damn I see why 50 took his time making sure the production company got this right. All the other companies rushed to make documentaries at the height of the trial. The director he got on this has a great track record of making stuff outta this type of material and the fact that it's on Netflix platform means it has a bigger budget behind it than the other ones

Those other documentaries didn’t rush anything. They are all thorough accounts of literally all the same shyt, this just has 1- Netflix name brand, 2- 50, and 3- that exclusive footage

I haven’t watched yet but this made me really side eye. Puff has done a lot of grimy, nasty, illegal, devilish shyt…yet with all that 50 with a straight face is talking about Puff using hand sanitizer. Even the comments ain’t fallin for it

50 is giving Trump, Elon vibes. It’s easy to be trollish and funny and gain internet favor online, but irl you actually gotta have some intellect and charisma and depth. 50 sound dumb af. Tryin his ‘just smile and say some bull shyt, people will get intimidated and think you’re clever’.

Is there specificity and rigidity to the title "Executive Producer" in tv and film

Or is it as fluid as the concept of a so called "producer" in music?

Executive It typically means that without your contribution or support the project would not have come together, some foundational effort or input was required. Whereas a producer is joining or coming into the project to add to it. But obviously it could be as simple as financial support, management or studio support that you have the executive role.

One other distinction between an Executive Producer for film and one for television is that oftentimes the series show-runner is listed as an “Executive Producer” because “Showrunner” for whatever reason isn’t an official title with the various guilds (WGA, PGA, SAG, ETC) Show-Runner is another term for “Head Writer” who basically outlines and makes sure everything from a script standpoint connects, even if they don’t write every episode themselves they approve the scripts and sometimes do uncredited rewrites and passovers.

50 isn’t the show-runner but i wouldn’t be surprised if he had input or some say over the writing because he knew Puffy personally.
