Cam was arguably the biggest star on the Roc in 2002, behind Jay. Cam’s crew was big in the same Mixtape arena just like 50 and G-Unit. Competition.

50 and Jay been having their back and forth jabs since 1999. Also Jay was top dog, so it goes back to going at the best.

Aside from the who J-Lo single thing between Nas and 50, I didn’t see anyone mention that In 2002, there were rumors of Nas signing with Murda Inc (he had that ‘Pledge’ song with Ja and Ashanti, and I believe Irv was on radio saying they were going to make it happen). Also I think 50 just wanted to be the third man in a triple threat match with Jay and Nas
