Man people really love to go back and act like there was a greater war that Jay won to save face.

its like saying Common lost to Cube cause he extended his career doing films and is more famous.

The battle is the battle.
And Jay won it :mjpls:

Well of course 50 would be on that "it's prosperity that matters" tip since his career mirrors that of Jay's. They got fat and fell of musically.

Yeah, Jay made hundreds of millions because he is an entrepreneur, he wanted it. Nas isn't at heart, Just see that interview with Steve Stoute where he says that's not Nas' game, or something to that effect. Either way, Nas is still a millionaire, and has ways of getting richer if he wants to. Nas knows people that can open the same doors for him that were opened for Jay.

But ultimately Nas went after what matters to him, which is hip hop, and Jay went after what matters to him, which is riches. They both did pretty well for themselves.

It's only their fans that can't get past it.:heh:

This lost the fight but won the war logic is always so retarded. It's just a rap battle, they weren't competing in every aspect of life. If you lose a fight and somebody posts it on Worldstar, the L is documented and it will last at least until you fight that person again. It doesn't matter if the person you lost a fight to dies in a car crash the next week. You still got your ass whipped, you didn't win any war. Jay is and has always been a better businessman but if something like that matters when you listen to music you're a weirdo.

very political answer. funny though how people are overlooking the first part of the sentence.

"if you would ask someone who listens to lyrics who won between Nas and Jay Z, they would say Nas. Ate that boy alive"
Everybody looking for a reason to hate

If Nas and 50 did a new track haters wouldn't know whether to look left or right
