Nah not really. 50 just isn't a part of the new generation. He'll always get respect however.

He's moved on to other ventures and just provides music for ppl who are his fans.

lol sometimes I feel like people wanted his run to last several decades or something.

Kanye is part of the new generation why isn't 50? They been rappin the same amount of time. Kanye knows how to strategically collaborate

Kanye is a fraud...or are we calling getting other nikkas to write your raps, make your beats for you and lifting sounds from lesser known artists "strategic collaboration"

He's not a part of the new generation because he was the last of his kind. Big budget gangsta rap is dead, the era of the herb is upon us. I mean the biggest "gangsta" rapper right now wears toe rings and shops in the little girls section.

50 always kept a ear to the streets tho.

His most popular beats the past 5 years is with randoms like mann(buzzin)

The real reason 50 fell off is beat selection.

Ehh your point is valid... it is absolutely true. However I would say 50 had a great 5 year run. Its kind of saying mohammed ali, or george foreman, or evander holyfield failed for whatever reason... when really they didnt they had their time and then time moved past them.

I mean at this point only people who legitimately have had a longer run than 5 is probably jay-z, maybe LL, maybe Drake, maybe Kanye... and none of them were as completely dominant at their peak as 50...

and thats out of all rappers EVER there are like probably at least 500 major label rappers during the last 35 years... and 50 is in the top 5 as far as a commercial run... how is that a fail?

everyone becomes the chilites at some point
i'd add snoop to the list. not many people would say no to a snoop collabo even to this day and he could still make a hit.

I'm honestly amazed that we have been discussing "why 50 Cent fell off" for literally 10 years now. No joke they've been making these threads since the Massacre...Beg For Mercy if we're being really real.

He's had a fascinating career, even haters must agree

50 is his own worst enemy

That nikka was so sharp and ruthless when he was at the top

Truth is that nikka is so soft now. But he got priorities. When he was comin up he was still fighting to be the best

Kanye fathered the new school. 50 is the last undeniable gully brute rapper

He's a relic to these kids....where as Ye actually created the sound/look of this new gen
