I aitn talkn about behind the scene nikkas, im talkn about rappers. nikkas over the cover of albums, headlining shows, etc..

yea some of these other rap nikkas may of trapped or hit licks before they blew up but they wasnt in the streets like 50

50 legit had nikkas shook to come around him
he was known for knockin nikkas out and he could get u killed if he wanted to(this was all before sellin a single album)
50 is da realist rapper

Real shyt, I can vouch for that, and not off no stan shyt either.

The majority of nikkas on this site hatin on 50 is corny ass whiteboys that live wit they moms, and fakkit hipster Drake stan types that's glad 50 lane (gritty NY music) ain't really a viable option no more in the mainstream. You got soft ass homotional internet nerds talkin about a nikka who actually lived that life for whatever reason, and most the time I sit back & laugh, but the shyt just get o.d. sometimes. I'm not trying to cape for dude, but ignorance about a street nikka, especially from nikkas wit no street track record to show for amuses me. Not for nothin, I fukks wit 50 music purely because of his authenticity, (even tho I'll admit, a lot of his more recent 2008-2012 shyt is :scusthov:) regardless of which direction he goes. I don't know the nikka personally and won't act like I did, but my right hand man "Sev", (who's doing 25 years for a shooting out in VA) grew up w/Fif, Yayo, & the rest of the street nikkas they had around em.

Long story short, when I first met him, I met him out here in VA in 2005. nikka was runnin around claimin G-Unit, G-Unit tees, hats, tats, etc...and I was like :heh: fukkouttahere. He was 25 at the time, and a well known livewire, son would bust his gun wit no hesitation...And I was just getting ready to turn 19 but I was on that same reckless shyt. Instead of bumpin heads, we ended up bonding on some brother shyt. At the same time though, I grew up in the street all my life so I really ain't have no respect for a nikka claimin no rap clique unless they showed & prove that lifestyle.

To make another long story short, a couple months after we started kickin it & gettin money together, we both went up top for a weekend (he's from Jamaica, Queens...I'm from Brownsville, Brooklyn) and I took him thru my old hood. My nikkas showed love, I took him to the jects & made moves etc...and he took me to his hood the next day. At the time, 50 & them was still POPPIN (around the time Lloyd Banks "Cake" dropped) so I wasn't expectin to bump into them nikkas in the hood, knowing they out on Lear jets world tours & not really in the hood no more...But it just so happened, that the minute we set foot on Guy Brewer, Yayo brother was still around the way. (Not Trav, but a nikka that looks identical to Yayo, taller, & had dreads...I forget the his name), and I sized him up...Thorough nikka, icy chain & all that, stacks w the burner on him, we politickin on the block, and I'm lookin at son, then at my man Sev, seein him in his element, and I'm like :leon::youngsabo: Ok...maybe my nikka official.

Later that night some shyt went down, and we ride out to put in some work, I won't say over what, but I was basically invited. Bein young and reckless, I ain't give a fukk about nothin. And shyt just went down in a manner where it was a mutual respect between me, my nikka, and HIS G-Unit nikkas from Jamaica...I rode wit em not to be on no fit in shyt, but back then, I was WILDIN...Everywhere. Same way I was G checkin son on the low by comin to his hood, he was prolly checkin me to see how far I'd go when it came to that drama. That's why I tell stories like these cuz it's a blessing that I'm even here. All I'll say is this, man...Them nikkas 50 had around him before he blew is OFFICIAL. They speak highly of him, & vouch that he cut from the same cloth. I won't get into descriptive details, but yo...Most of them nikkas that was down w the Unit from day 1 get that stamp. At least in my book.

Anyways...If it adds any more merit to the story (give a fukk if it don't) :umad:, me & my mans Sev came back to VA...Where we was still puttin in work at. All kinds of shyt. Another long story short, about 7, 8 months later, he get jammed up. Clapped a nikka out here & blew trial. 25 years in prison. To this day, we write, talk, keep in touch, etc...He'll probably be on an interlude on my album, just talkin some real nikka shyt...But son was a loose cannon just like I was. Two years later is when I fukked around and caught my little 4 year case.

I say all that to say. Don't be runnin around thinkin ALL these rap nikkas is sweet. A handful of cats is official, but I can say for the most part that 50 probably one of the most official of them all. He took the same street principles and applied it to the music and business industry. He's a grimier, more ignorant, (but no less sharp) Jay-Z. Jay's business acumen comes from hustlin, having extremely good street and music mentors/connects, and branding. 50's comes from force, intuition, and knowing how to obtain and wield power. He chose to run his music company the way he ran his clique on the street, any disloyalty, laziness, or disrespect got a nikka excommunicated for the most part, family or not. And I can respect that. So when you look around and see that Yayo, Banks & them ain't around...Point ya finger and laugh cuz he ain't sellin or makin the most records, just know it's for a reason. Not everybody sell out to the point where their personal morals & principles are compromised. Like I said, nikkas up here can call it what they want, but as far as rap nikkas go, he's one of the few that gets my respect. I give a fukk if he drop an album full of "Candy Shops" to sell records, real nikkas know what time it is.

What does that have to do with being real in the streets before you rapped?

Waka was in them streets heavy. People get beat up all the time, if you in the streets it's gonna happen to you eventually.
