50 has been more of a TV producer and social media troll than a rapper for more than a decade now.

Dudes like the idea of "Godfather 50" more than the reality. The reality is that 50 has been washed as a rapper for years. Even in songs like this where you can tell he's trying harder than usual, he still sounds sloppy and has average at best verses. There's nothing to get excited about at all except for the spectacle surrounding 50 that his songs are now somewhat tied to.

50 did a whole theme song with Jeremih and Sheff G last year that nobody even remembers today and every person on the song sounded bland and awful including Jeremih. 50's in no position at all to challenge anybody on the musical or lyrical front. Those days are long gone.
