They would be stupid to try and use the same characters. Wood Harris and Mekhi Phifer’s performances won’t be matched.

You’d have to find younger actors with enough name recognition to carry a series which is not easy. Joey Badass would be a good fit but he’s already playing an 80s drug dealer on a show.

We also know how the story starts and ends. It’s not like Godfather of Harlem where you have Bumpy Johnson and a host of other figures to build around (Malcolm X, etc); you have Ace, Mitch, and Rico. That’s pretty much it.
