I dont understand why major artists when finishing their deal or getting dropped dont just say fukk a label and distribute their music directly to fans. 50 should just distribute his music independently. He's already been blackballed by the industry, what more can they do to him?

Industry connections are better then being Indie. All those mafia goons 50's been around have probably paid off a lot more then if he just put out music indepenently. Better networking opportunities basically and Universal is as big as it gets.

It's a status thing, cause 50 Cent considers himself to be a platinum selling artist he wants to stay in the limelight. I agree with you 100% TI is doing the same thing, maybe after his last album he'll focus on G-Unit Records and build it independently

50 should definitely get a joint venture or do his own thing. Major Label system is good for breaking news artists on that major scale, but if you can already generate that interest you'd be better off doing shyt independently.

I think Epic is the best look for him like a few people have said.
