Gayle is trash for trying to make it out as if they altered the clip to make her look bad.

The entire interview is like 5 minutes, tops.

So she spent 1.5 minutes of her 5 minute interview, digging for trashy content.

She's bogus for that, plus for trying to play as if this was a thirty minute interview.

- this was def the media having an agenda. Because the first 12 hours everyone was honoring kobe and he was being recognized as a global icon
- after that the media started adding in the rape ACCUSATION as part of the narrative, to try to minimize his legacy.
- i agree 100% with 50. Anyone of us can get accused of anything. But if the racist criminal justice system didnt have enough to convict him, why is the media trying to do it now :pacspit:

Where's the narrative that he only sticks up.for white people now?

that was never the narrative...if we’re being honest the “narrative” was that he mostly goes hard @ black ppl w/ his online shyt...however in this case it’s very much well-deserved...as a matter of fact after this bullshyt I wouldn’t even count her as “black” outside of her complexion

No she not. Oprah been on the same shyt forever. White women love her regardless. We need to understand that these Khewns Didn’t build
their platform based on how we feel.

We love Kobe, guess whose the main demographic that hates him? white women.

I have zero issue discussing the rape case. It's a part of his story, his life, etc. It happened, there was a case, there was evidence, you can find it online readily, etc. If the goal is to remember humans - not gods or idols - then we should examine the totality of their life. We should talk about the trial...and the clear shift in Kobe's life after the trial. The evolution Kobe took, going from a player who at one point was clowned and despised by some...to a player nearly universally beloved. A player who went out his way to mentor girls and women. That's an interesting conversation to have...and one that we can't have without acknowledging the case and what came afterward. And we also can't have it in this climate where you are either all good or all bad. Where one mis-step renders you cancelled for life.

My problem with Gayle (and Oprah) is that they selectively choose who to target with their faux investigative journalism. Gayle is on record dapping Charlie Rose, Oprah is on record dapping Weinstein. Their behavior strikes me as a perfect example of white feminism. The type of feminism that revels in surface level tokenism and identity politics, which are used to gain a seat at the very same table that was designed/powered by systematic sexism. The women who were molested and raped by powerful white men are merely sacrifices to be ignored/overlooked as Gayle, Oprah, and others climb as far as they can in order to be as close as they can to power. Denigrating Kobe doesn't endanger their position at the table. Denigrated MJ doesn't either. Denigrating Weinstein though? Charlie Rose? Matt Lauer? They'll never do it. Because the men at that table are guilty of all the same crimes that Weinstein/Rose/Lauer/etc committed. They just haven't been exposed yet...but they sure as hell aren't going to sit back and let women who might expose them get into positions of power or influence.

And Gayle is on record saying there are two sides to every story about Charlie Rose lol...

your post is too sensible for the Coli/locker room lol

them targeting the people they are, does not endanger their position at all. It’s always been like this. People will complain how the man is not treating them right ,not giving them respect or giving them their fair shake but they turn around and do the same shyt to their own people. Power/Race/Class dynamics is crazy.

They're finished, they just don't know it yet.

I don't know what is going on behind the scenes but it is clear to me that they are removing them from their backup network.

Look at Cosby, had him delivering pound cake and pull your pants up speeches before dropping the hammer.

When they need a fall person for the providers of people like Weinstein, Oprah better prepare her ass.

She needs to answer what the purpose of that was...simply ask lisa leslie did she think it was appropriate topic to discuss and move on to the next question

the digging, prodding, and trying to get a deeper reaction is the key to gayle and oprah's success, they've been doing this for years and now people are starting to see it

The Comfort Zone
granted he made an off-color joke but the larger picture was him going @ oprah for essentially doing the same thing to MJ w/ that documentary...dunno how you missed that

It was more than a few "off-color" jokes. It was disrespectful.

That said, I do believe he was trolling. Call me crazy but I don't think 50 believes MJ committed those crimes at all...he just wanted to be an ass.
