Look, I'm one of the biggest jigga stans there is but even I can admit that this dude was INCREDIBLY lucky to be in close proximity to two of the biggest pop stars we've ever seen. The last 12 years or so he has Kanye and Beyonce to thank for maintaining his relevancy, because nobody gives a fukk about magna carter and he basically rode that legendary Lemonade wave with 4:44. Besides attaching himself to those two the demand for him by himself just isn't there like that when you really think about it. Nobody is clamoring for another Jay-Z album.

I mean, I'd welcome another one but the public as a whole? I'm honestly not sure.

Jay-z has more pull than Beyonce in the music industry, for all we know Beyone might be getting Grammy's cause she's with Jay and Jay might be getting them cause he's him. Or it's cause he's highly respected by other music writers, and music writers are the ones who vote for grammy recipients.

Jay has a lot of Grammys because of his collaborations. Of his 24 Grammys only THREE are for himself as a soloist (Best Rap Album for Hard Knock Life, Best Rap Solo Performance for 99 Problems and Best Rap Performance for Death Of Autotune) 5 are in tandem with Beyonce (2 for Crazy In Love/2 for Drunk In Love/1 for Everything Is Love) and the other 16 are various works with Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Rihanna, and Kanye.

Ironically 50’s only Grammy award is for a collaboration as well. Crack A Bottle with Dre and Eminem
