Sound sound sound
that 106 & park interview is hilarious...comfortable space, actual, artist, content

that nikka never answers any question directly

was asked about if we'll ever see a g unit collab...and he starts talkin about how new artists grind to get in the game and how drake blew up :heh:

50 cent is a bigger star then ross and its not even close. 50 is a household name. White grannies know him. Ross has never risen above rap let alone music.

ross has a dedicated loyal fanbase and made a solid career from it. I salute him for that. And even his label I applaud. Gave wale a second life and even gave gunplay a buzz.

as far as 50 I dont understand the hate. Its no doubt his music has fallen off. He got extremely rich and lost his hunger. But the pure hate people have for him is strange.

The point is Rick Ross, a person whose career 50 swore he was gonna end, has a more successful music career than 50 does now...both of Ross' past two albums since 50 supposedly hit him with the "deathblow" have outsold BISD...Rick Ross has a label with artists signed under him that are now more successful within the rap game than 50 Cent in the year of our lord, 2013...whatever residual star power 50 has from the days when he was still musically relevant no longer manifests itself towards success within the actual music industry...he's a "far bigger star" that can't even get a release date for an album he's been working for 2 years...he's :flabbynsick: ...and it's only still funny as it is because the thisis50.com contingent refuses to admit it

At the end of the day I look at it like this. Who would I rather be, 50 Cent, or Rick Ross. There is no question that I would rather have the career of 50 Cent.

Being "known" more is all well and good but if it doesn't equate to $s then whats the point? Those grannies who know who he is aren't buying his music.

As for the "hate", speaking for myself, it comes from:

a) the irony of a dude who put SO much emphasis on sales and "relevancy" now being at the opposite end of the spectrum.

b) the hilarity of how 50 Cent diehards are so oblivious and continue to argue that dude has a bankable music career.

50 is rich, no one can dispute that, but so is LL Cool J, and I sure as shyt don't want to listen to a new album from him either.

50 Cent should take a page from Ice Cube's book. When Cube went back to putting out music in '06, he basically said, fukk the radio and the masses, I'm gonna make shyt for me and what I think my core fanbase wants. The result was his best music in probably a decade.

50 has put out some real good stuff on mixtapes over the past few years, but every single has been terrible, with the exception of the new joint with Snoop & Jeezy.
