that was only sort of the start, because if you look at the major releases of 2008, you still had alot of same guys putting out major albums Joe, G Unit, Nas were stll relevant to some extent in that time period, shyt, take a look at the grand theft auto soundtrack from part 4, and then look at part 5. Part 4 featured every new york heavy hitter sans 50 and jay, part 5 features a bunch of.....trash IMO (im not talking about the throwback shyt)

Back in 08, one hit wonders were on radio, dele spite good releases from Nas, Ice Cube, TI, Luda, Jeezy and others. That was when the south was on top making that female music.
