50 vs Budden

Unrelated to this beefs origins but still funny. There was an incident, and I believe Joe spoke about it on Everyday Struggle where he was poppin off on radio, left Hot 97(which was 50's playground I believe at the time) and ran into 50 in the parking lot or some shyt right after too.

The beef started when 50 was a guest editor for XXL. They had a segment called 'step ya game up' or something like that where they would highlight wack bars. 50 happened to use a Budden song, I can't remember which one. Budden responded with a diss and that's how it started.

It was some sort of jeans/diesel line

It was on Focus. “I pump diesel, I’m not talking about jeans or sneakers”. I remember copping that XXL and thinking it was odd that 50 put that line in the step your rap game up section.

This was the first shot thrown in the beef... Dont know if 50 did it cuz some shyt happened before or he was just bein 50 lmao

Buddens had a freestyle on Clue where he said "Should be in the G-Unit video, all you gangsta actors" or something like that cause G-Unit just dropped the "poppin them thangs" video with all them gangster actors in it. It wasn't a diss but 50 took it that way, and especially took offense because Clue threw Game on it too. Game took it upon himself to go after Joe Buddens, and Clue. Then years later 50 called Buddens a p*ssy and a bytch because he misunderstood one of Buddens posts or tweets or sumn about "Power", 50 admitted he misunderstood it.

Damn, I feel madd hip hop right now for knowing this shyt, , shout out to the fukkin Coli for keeping nikkas informed.

It was a diss and was intended that way, cos of the 50 thing that's been mentioned

Banks and Budden had beef back in 03, I think that's how the beef started. but they squashed it in 2010 when Budden made that Remember The Titans song

My thoughts, I rememer this playing out. Joe Budden finally had an album coming out, he thought he was the next guy after Pump It Up would be everywhere summer of 2003, but he realized that he couldn't contend with 50/Intercope after GRODT dropped back in Feb 2003. so Joe album dropped in June 2003 where he was throwing all types of shots at 50 due to what I see as jealousy as 50 took the spot he wanted.

50 wasn't going to reply to Joe on wax.. Let's face it, lyrically it wasn't even close. so 50 would go on to take the I'm bigger than him role. so he left Banks and ultimately Game to deal with it..

today: Joe still wants very much to be approved or noticed by 50..
