Why would they choose 500K as a figure? I'm sure most would choose that much money over dinner with any celeb, let alone Jeffrey Atkins of all people

meeting rappers isn't some kind of special thing that's gonna "unlock" some kind of financial wisdom, or even less likely - a job.
as somebody who used to routinely have "work lunches" with managers and artists of all genres, the meetings with the actual rappers were among the worst for actually getting business done.
spent more time talking about fukking backwoods leafs and weed strains than ticket sales or touring plans with rappers.

I’d take a free value meal over dinner with Ja Rule. Why would one need dinner with him? He’s supposed to teach something? He was hot for a time and cooled off. He got planted with super popular artist like Jay-Z and DMX when he came on the scene. That’s it.
Now if it was dinner with Ashanti or $500K I’d still take the money but I’d feel like I actually lost out on something with the other end of the deal.
