Taker vs Cripple

No matter what, when Rock came back, the crowds went absolute nuts for all the segments..shows sold out for weeks after his initial return. That didn't haopen for Lesnar or any Taker return and of course not for Cripple H.

I remember the week he popped back up. He had casuals talking bout "the Rock is back "

Not saying that was his fault I'm just saying with guys like The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Sting, and The Undertaker anchoring the card, Vince and co started to get lazy with the writing come Mania time when they usually step it up around those months. Rock and Cena buildup (the first one, 2nd one was trash) was excellent but rest of the card was built up like shyt besides Taker HHH which was a story that wrote itself anyways

He didn't start getting lazy. shyt was 10x worse in 08 and 09. They relied on Floyd when Rock wasn't there...Trump the year before that and Austin as the help. So there is no magical finger pointer..that whole part timer label was just a CM Punk excuse when he couldn't get hot enough to change ratings and get main event spots as champion.

Hell no, every single Mania buildup since the part timers came in has been lukewarm at best. The 08 and 09 Mania buildups were gold, and they didn't just "rely" on Floyd or Donald or Mickey Rourke, they actually wrote interesting stuff for them. Even so, all of those celebs were in the undercard and not the main events. The rest of those cards outside of the celeb spots were very well written too

Gold? Nowhere near..Edge/Show/Cena was a fukking nightmare...Blandy/Punk? Trash and no one remebers one thing about it...Blandy/Cripple H? Universally rejected. A sure sign Cripple H needed to retire. Kane/Chavo? Wtf..hahaha

The only reason WM 23 got ANY PRESS was because of that Trump/McMahon thing. Cena/Michaels were no sold every damn week. Horrible wrestling show. 95 status.

25 and 26 are str8 up garbage. U couldn't pay me to watch that sorry $hit again. And fans must agree seeing at how Michaels return to low pops and almost indifference.

Taker/Edge was great. Their TLC match was good fun and La Familia was nice stable as well, then Taker's return and the subsequent SS HIAC match was great and gave us the last great HIAC match in my opinion (Brock/Taker aside). Also Edge/Foley's promo was classic too. One of the last few things I liked before I stopped watching before 09
