business wise he paid his crew better and fairer than most
compare this to how badly the roc wasnt breaking state property any bread from tours - i dont quite remember the numbers on here but dudes were getting shafted (side note - as much as dame claims he was for the artists and jay snaked everyone, this situation was a joint effort yet for some reason dame escapes blame for it)
puff is a notoriously bad payer
50 always fed his troops well - he has let them down in other ways (generally his ego and insecurity always trying to assert dominance over them rather than letting them live and breathe) but at one point they could make 50k or 100k for some shows hypemanning for him... that aint too bad
