Lost me at being recruited for and leaving highly selective $200K job at The World Bank in DC, to opening up a boutique store to sell African art as a sole source of income; while using all of her accumulated retirement and savings to fund that hobby while having an MBA from Harvard and Masters in Intl. Studies from Johns Hopkins. All those degrees and knowledge but no common or practical sense to make it make sense.

Lady has an MBA but couldn’t use her market analysis skills to think that opening an art store with no other variables to consider was not a good idea. There’s big box stores like Michael’s Arts closing locations every other week. But this lady says that she was hoping to open up a chain of specialty overpriced niche stores like a Bed, Bath and Beyond of African art. Living in a million dollar condo that she owns, fully decorated with expensive furniture and antiques but can’t afford the condo fees and had to use food stamps.
Reporter is talking about “she may not look poor or act poor” - so I’m expecting to see a SSI fixed income and efficiency apartment. But she’s living in an expensive upper class neighborhood in NW, DC in a townhouse that takes up half the block while expecting to get back into the 9-5 work game making $200k like she did before, at 62 yrs old

These fake woke people are the worst. Always striving for that something "bigger than themselves" to satisfy their inner ego. Regular folks don't get that they do this shyt for clout and can go back to their high paying job anytime they want just by getting in touch with their old contacts.
Elijah though. I don’t know if this story is demotivating, inspirational or this old chick just lucked the fuk up. Spent her whole older adulthood in a string of bad decisions only to still maintain her lifestyle when Captain Save a simp literally comes from out of nowhere to help her pay her bills and save her house from foreclosure.
