As time goes on, just as many women are opting out of having children as men. The financial burdens of childrearing and the thought of possibly doing it all on your own is enough to keep a lot of women from having children. Not to mention, maternal and infant mortality is unusually high for Black women in this country. Can’t say I blame her.
