Dead at some of y'all consigning this and congratulating him knowing damn well if your son or daughter worked at McDonald's or Burger King for 59 years flipping burgers, cooking fries and working the register you'd be pissed. Black people need to do better. We can't prop shyt like this up anymore. If he was retiring after 59 years of fire fighting then this would be something to be proud of.

The more important thing I wanna know, and I didn't click on the video...Where is his wife and what she had to say about his accomplishment..

If he has a wife or gf, did she stick by his side through his career and encourage him is what I wanna know Lol.

The chicks I've talked to when I asked that silly ass question like "Would you have talked to me if I was working at McDonalds" usually the response I get is "You trying to stay there or own a McDonalds within the next 4 weeks or "Hell no nikka" How did he get through in finding a girlfriend yet alone a wife from having a job like that.

When I worked at Kroger a white woman retired after 40 years in the deli. She was always happy and seemed content with herself. I had heard of another woman that retired after 60 years but didn't think it could be true:ohhh:
Some people are just simple like that :yeshrug:

Not for nothing but Kroger is a Union job and she was getting paid very well after 40 years. I sold a car to an autistic woman who worked at Kroger for 9 years and she was making damn near $20 per hour.

But he had been working there since he was 14 years old. He was working there in the 1950's.

Dude probably dropped out of school and started working there to support the family or something. Not having an education as things keep progressing you stick to what you know.

I've seen plenty of older people that do the same job for years but the moment you mention promoting to a supervisor or something they don't want it.
