We have a nanny. I've trusted her with our girls for four years and counting. Always has our kids home for school and fed. Keeps the house up, though my wife makes an effort to clean on weekends here and there out of pride. She takes our oldest to ballet & is invaluable during summer vacation. I damn near consider her family.

That’s assuming the parents would even wanna help like that. A lot of them don’t.

Absolutely. They wouldn't "raise" my kids but help out. We didn't do it because we over estimated the cost but if I could go back in time I would do it. I work a lot and wifey works all the time too. shyt is nonstop and a nanny would be clutch.

My mother is not going to be at the beck and call for every little thing. My parents split their time across a few places.

Having a nanny and a relative helping aren’t mutually exclusive.

The idea isn’t for the nanny to raise you but to be support / help.

I say this as someone who had a nanny growing up given my parents’ schedules
