Company I talked to a month (2 months ago?) and we mutually decided I wasn't a fit, has spun the block because they downleveled the role and the HM instantly thought of me.

My current role and responsibility have increased since I last talked to her, so this will be interesting.

@PrnzHakeem what's the best way to go about getting a raise to be in line with the market and what you know they're offering new hires at your level? i can't shake being underpaid by 25-35k and i'm considering dipping for income alone, which is bad, because i fux with my company and role otherwise

lined up an interview at another company next week, higher level role, if the pay sounds right, i'll likely complete the interview cycle for leverage

First interview didn’t go too well. I botched the macOS and MDM questions. But I correctly answered the Python and Bash questions.

Second interview was great though. It felt like a good conversation with the hiring manager.

Been studying my ass off for Tuesday interview, I am drain. Looking at this guys Linkedin, his experience vastly surpasses me by miles so he can ask me anything and I will be fkd . I don't think I can prepare enough. It is giving me impostor syndrome. Dude knows data base, devops, ml/ops, networking...cyber security . Like I don't know what to expect.

They asked in depth stuff about Jamf Pro MDM. I have one of the certs for it, but I've actually only used it for a couple of months. They would've asked questions about Okta, but I don't have any experience with it. They also asked about plist files, secure token, and launch agents.

The Bash question was easy. They showed me a basic script and asked me to explain what it does. Python questions were easy too, but I said something really dumb which kind of killed my momentum when I was killing those questions.

The second place I'm still in the running for got back to me and scheduled a follow-up for next week. Hopefully, I don't mess it up.

each intervuiewer would need to understand the topic well to ask the right questions and would need to take time out of their own work.

much easier to filter first by making you take a bunch of exams. exams which do not mirror the way you work ...

For the most part, the interviewers have been consultants themselves. It's just the amount of work you have to do is OTT to me.

I had a interview with C*pgemini last Friday and it was a 3 part interview. 3 different people, 1 behavioral, 1 presentation, and 1 case study. Took me 2h30m. Got another interview later this week that is a 20-25m case presentation, a 20min Q&A and if they like you, you go to Round 2 the next day for another hour behavioral.

It's just a lot.

Job giving me way more responsibility and stress. Going to my bosses office tomorrow and asking about the promotion odds within the next 6 months. If he tells me some BS I’m just gonna lateral in the company and chill til I finish my grad degree.
