I might have just shot myself in the foot on a phone screen. I talked too long about experience not relevant to the position. I knew I was doing it but I was already balls deep

I don't need a pep talk and therefore decline to speak with you before my in-person interview. I'll call you when it's done.

. I have nothing to lose either way. I have a promotion lined up in a couple months and probably another role within the company even sooner. Only thing is this company is probably gonna go public soon, the pay will probably be leaps and bounds above what I'll be making here, and he described some legit shyt they're working on, so I wouldn't mind a change

a couple of my peers know I'm looking to get up outta there. Theres no gain for them to tell our boss. All that can happen is they fire me

This. Our company is in a hiring freeze. If they give me the boot then the work is gonna fall on him.
He gonna start pulling them 12 hours days I was pulling last quarter.
Backed out of the job interview. I dind't like how the recruiting company was operating, plus I got a lot of shyt on my plate and I need to settle myself. It was only $5k more a year anyway, so no need to do the most for all that. I'm getting this applied data analytics cert in July, so I'm thinking I should wait anyway and I could probably get more.

. This was on my Google Sheet. It's just where I log progress on my job search (application deadline, status, etc). I should have changed the name to "2019 Projects" or "Project Log" etc, something non-descript.
I have an offer on the table. It's not what I was expecting for the position, so it's time to negotiate.
