Cant wait till I leave this gig next weekd. I hate working wit bytches . IDGAF, Im starting to learn sisters dont be wanting to pull they weight sometimes when it comes to work.

We got like 13K users and the past 2 weeks been having me work OT while this bytch just dips at 4 . bytch dont understand that she needa sacrifice but she has 3 kids and no husband.

She was “feeling sick” yesterday and I took on her workload. So Im the only one doing tickets and getting backed up. Today I was finishing up all the tickets I had yesterday and doing email tickets today while she were doing half ass work. bytch gon ask me “when u off “? In that “you know Im bouta dip just wanted to fake act like Im not leaving MY work for you” tone

You ain't lying here. I work with one shawty and she just doesn't know when to be serious or when it's time to bear down and get work done.

She's older than me and has more work experience but for some reason she wants me to spoon feed her answers.

It's like "Yo, I learned this stuff from trial and error. Asking questions and putting two and two together" Sometimes I'm not sure if she's been here for 1 year or 1 month. She's cool peoples though, but her work ethic and work comprehension are questionable.

1. About a month, but mind you, it was one of those contract to hire positions that starts you out with a base 6 months contract. I was there while looking for full time work right after graduation.

2. Depends on how big a cut but generally, yes, I'd take a cut. One caveat is the position would have to be truly remote and I would only need to submit projects by specific deadlines rather than on a schedule i.e. checking in day by day on skype at specific times. Example: say I was making 75k in the DC area, which is very good for a single male and I was offered say 60k for a truly remote gig, then I'd pack up and move to a cheaper country where my cost of living would go down, my dollars would go further and I could deploy my capital for greater returns. I take that 60k to say South Africa and it'd be the equivalent of me earning like 95k in DC, in Nigeria 85k, Kenya 90k so on and so forth. You'd generally be able to afford a better lifestyle at cheaper prices.

At one internship I had in college, there was one dude who worked remote from Slovakia. He helped us with the rigorous analytics and modeling, he'd only check in once every two weeks or so to give status updates. That was a really good gig.

That’s a solid angle your playing. No risk no reward. If you don’t have kids, I’d say jump at the opportunity. A fully remote gig would probably take a big cut but the flexibity is priceless. Like you said, politics, commute and the like gets after a while. The opportunity to be on ground and lay seeds for the future is priceless imho.

But South Africa? Yea man, that place is cheap, cheaper than even Kenya. Was there last year and compared prices against Kenya and Nigeria, I too was quite shocked. Where South Africa has really good value is in Western grade products/services. In Kenya and Nigeria those products are madly marked up due to imports.

SA actually has a pretty good manufacturing sector.

Now don’t get me wrong, SA can get pricey (but which place can’t) but for comparable quality of life SA is cheaper than other African countries.

Example: A studio in Maboneng, Johannesburg which is akin to a Brooklyn would run you $350 a month. In BK, $1k plus. In Surulere, Lagos: probably like $600.

This is all for comparable properties. Lol, I’ve been plotting my moves as well.

Wish I could tell you but it took me a few months to find these niches. I will say if you look hard enough and think about problems that most people have, that will point you in the right direction.

And I just wanna see some more +s vs -s on my account statements. Would just use this for another stream of income.

I've thought about starting a YouTube but I'm working more on establishing a primary source of income first so that way I don't look a damn fool trying to run a YouTube start up working lower end IT jobs. Sounds like finding that niche can result in some nice supplemental income if anything, just gotta figure out what I would do that makes the investment worth the time.

I personally prefer to work remotely. I have been going to the office 5 days a week and it's killing me lol but in the next few months, I will be doing 3 days work, 2 days remote. My goal is to do 5 days remote eventually. fukk this office shyt.
