Yesterday I started my new job as a Desktop Support Tech but learned that I’m really just going to be building the KB and picking up extra tickets here and there. Wack.I passed that technical interview but they filled the position before I could get the full onsite interview with the manager. Recruiter told me she'd put me up for the position again as the job opens up a few times a year (kinda a red flag, tbh).

Had a backup position paying $2k less than that job at a smaller company for a Desktop Support role. Had a 45 minute interview last week and this morning an hour long PANEL interview.
Just got the call stating I got the job. Glad to finally be out of the helpdesk role...already thinking about how I'm about to finesse my resume to make it look lile I have 3 years of desktop support experience so I can parlay this into an even better paying job late 2020.

Today the recruiter for the job I didn’t get after the technical interview called to ask me to come in for the final interview.
Thank God!

I feel bad because I like the people I’ve met here so far and it’s a small company, but the money calling meeeeee

. I see how a lot of cats say screw becoming managers and just coast the rest of their careers once they get to a certain level.
. That's why I always say I don't want to be in management at my current company. Why beat my head against the wall trying to get someone to do the right thing. Management makes a little more than me and deals with million times more headaches. If someone doesn't want to do something I suggest, I just pass it over to my manager and let him deal with the headache
