I'm stuck in a multi day planning session where they're straight arguing in circles. Taking notes when we can talk about talking about an item. Corporate incompetence at its finest
2 gig life is pretty good so far. New joint is very through with the training. This has actually helped me with job #1 too.

3 week interview process, round 1 shortly. I hope things go well, going to brush up on some terms and get the whiteness in my voice just right.

I typically do but it's just been different this year. Last year I was knocking it out of the park because I had to hand a platform off to another team. This year, since we're deploying the platform rather than that team deploying what we gave them, all the heavy lifting has been done. Best I can write is I took an application from development to production, but it's been zero outside of that. The real accomplishment was not getting laid off
Had a good conversation with dude yesterday. A start up company that sells an employee retention analytics product to their customers, only healthcare companies at this point, but looking to expand. The title was Director of Business Intelligence, but referred to it as "mid-range" for the skill set. 
. These job titles are another rant altogether. It was good to learn about the company and he didn't have any stuffy interview questions, just wanted to dig into my background and was asking a lot of follow up questions; I felt it was engaging, but he said he was just having conversations. I read the reviews about the company and the interview and hiring process and most of them were negative. People claimed to have been left hanging about the role, but based on my convo, nothing seemed solidified. He told me I should follow up with him
