My job is offering me $7,500 to stay with the company through its divestiture of my division, that’s a nice little bag right there

I wish I could take it and leave, but they will only pay it until after the divestiture is complete, and I gotta sign a contract as well. Don’t think I want to pass up a good job opportunity with another company because of $7500.
How much longer would you have to stay?
At least 30 days after the divestiture is complete. It's scheduled to be done between September and December of this year.

Some of these companies might as well put "unicorns only" on their job ads. Some of the salaries aren't even all that neither, but they want immediate ROI for so called entry level roles.
The exploitation and gatekeeping is ridiculous.

6 IT Certifications (or just certifications in general).
Blows my mind how people can use a tool week in and week out and still not know what they're doing with it.

For cyber sec, it will be bit tough. The baseline seems to be network plus, linux plus and security plus. That's if you want to be technical. If you have amazing people skills or whatever and in one of those position where you just need surface level knowledge, you will be straight.
Been ready to leave my job for a year now but:
1. It's easy
2. I don't want to go through the whole search process
3. I'll be done with my MBA next summer

Same for me. Been trying to leave my job for over a year ever since I got passed over for a promotion.Been ready to leave my job for a year now but:
