I’m giving myself 18 months min at this company before a pivot. Either Bschool or another firm within the fintech industry. Still within Biz dev but closer to the actual deal making.

Finally feel somewhat settled in my new environment so I can really attack the networking angle now.

Next 6-7 months should be really good. Gonna be more focused on networking and upping the technical skillset, all while optimizing my finances.

Do well on those fronts and I’ll take my first proper holiday in 2+ yrs.

Gave myself 2 months to get a new job and move. Failed.

Gonna give myself 6 months to cert up, find a remote job that doubles my salary, and move to LA or NY. Looking forward to the challenge.

Software development, IT, or Data?

Quickest way to remote 6fig work imo, is learning / becoming "proficient" in SQL.

Bonus points if you integrate SQL into platforms like QLIK, Power Pivot, PowerBI or Tableau

Recruiter followed up today and they asked would I be interested in interviewing for a different position that's better suited to my skills

so hiring is semi frozen until headcount needs are reassessed, this is messed up as marketing stayed understaffed during the hiring spree, end of april/early last month we finally got the greenlight to hire, now everyone in the pipeline is just frozen...i'm about to lose a couple good candidates, one being a dope black chick that i and my manager are both really high on
