Contacted by a recruiter for a new managerial role over five people at 105, hard pass

Signed up for the premium trial and ready to cancel after an hour, so so few of the positions are relevant and I already found them on the unpaid version. The AI fit assessor is fine but I mean not like I can’t take the 30 secs to read the post
I’m transitioning off the Media tech team into CPG Fin Service and Energy full time-a relief but my big old account is a pain. The new VP who has zero revenue since November, I’m handing her $100k . Not a huge deal-they’ll be in for a world of heartache if she doesn’t take over these other projects im currently on, our business with them is very relationship driven so once I’m done-done if/when the clients reach out she’s only getting a loop in/direct connect as the right contact, no favors or handholding
I just cancelled my premium sub too, I just didn't see the benefits

1st Round Playoff Exits
Mentioned this in another thread, haven’t been in here for a minute but anyone here work in supply chain adjacent roles:

data ingestion’s just been low the past couple of weeks.

We usually see around 10,000 daily transactions for our main vendor, but lately, some days are only hitting 100 to 200 records. Nothing’s cracked 10k in a while.

It might be nothing—or it might be something. I saw a similar dip back in 2023. Every now and then, we do get some light days. As I was wrapping up work last night, I looked at a couple over secondary vendors that we use briefly and their numbers were down. I’m tempted to do a bit of work right now to look into seasonality of this.

Still, I can’t help but feel like this whole tariff war mess is starting to slow things down. Especially because the supply chain is interconnected globally.

If this is a sign of what’s ahead, the country could be in for some serious pain.

Especially concerning is that we were previously on track to hit our FY25 forecast. But if teams can’t meet their metrics and companies start scaling back, a lot of industries are going to feel it.

I was just seeing if others in the space around supply chain are seeing a drop in volume.

I’m in San Fran for work this week. There was no one in the office yesterday.

Today’s there’s 2 other people: the office manager and his assistant. There’s no need for an assistant. He’d be needed if it was pre-covid times, but now? Nah. This office can fit 100 people easily

Feels like we’re in an era with zero leadership. Our government is self explanatory but between my personal experience at work, conversations with friends or shyt online just feels like leadership everywhere is reactionary. No one has a long term vision.

Curious on everyone’s thoughts

So while I'm not completely bullish on crypto, I do see the value in trying to acquire at least 0.1 bitcoin this year. We have a pro-crypto president, other countries are moving away from the dollar and our currency is weakening. I'm seeing it as a good hedge. Either that or gold.

Bitcoin is already hard to mine and will get harder to acquire in the future. I got burned playing with alt coins and I was really into ethereum in 2018 but I saw it as an alternative form of investing like short term stocks. But now I'm looking at it differently.

Going to start adding a bit more when I can to my BTC position. I already added a few grand the past day.

I feel like I need to take off a weekend to just get this next quarter on a roll and modify my day to day routine. Been a bit helter skelter these past weeks

I really liked how locked in I was for Q1, my holiday has definitely got me off routine a bit.

To go fast, go alone. To go far, go together

I need to go fast for these next 2-3 months. Honestly might just go monk mode for a bit. Each day is gonna either be a Monday or a Sunday :pachaha:

Just carve out the few weekends were I'll let up a bit (MDW, Juneteenth, July 4th, LDW)
