Nah, Jersey has really good public and great private schools like Montclair Kimberly, Morristown Bears and a bunch of others. I want him to go to a great program that’s actually diverse

That's true. Those NE boarding schools definitely have a type, but I'd be lying if I said that network isn't elite.

My younger sister was looking at Deerfield Academy but we decided to do something closer to the DMV area so she was close to family

It is, it was built that way but for me it’s not worth the trade off when again he can go to excellent schools and still be home. And I def don’t want his primary/ intro to dating to be a bunch of white girls.

An alarming portion of the Black kids I went to high school with developed some pretty sad complexes about their Blackness/over white people, from outright not fukking with other Black people romantically or socially or whatever to enjoying tokenism.

Dice is ass imo. Right up there with Ziprecruiter.
LinkedIn, Indeed, Builtin, Simplify, and WelcomeToTheJungle for me. I redact my phone number on everything besides LinkedIn though.

I think it depends on what type of job you're looking for.

For technician work; indeed had me getting interview going off like hotcakes.

I'm not sure if indeed does this now, but Glassdoor is nice because it displays job salary information.

I kind of wish my girl didn't go to school for social science, if you're not gonna get a master's afterwards, you're shooting yourself in the leg.

She's working, she's not a bum but It's so hard for her to get a job with high growth, even tho we live in a heavy govt city. Practical everyone here works for a branch of the govt, but it's hard to get in if you didn't do an internship, job agency or part of an organization.
