If I was a teacher, I’m calling the cops too. In this day and age, you might get sued or end up losing your job if you try to restrain them. Everyone looking at it from the kids view but how about the teachers? Now, it’d be different if I was a teacher in a different country.

The girl was processed at a county juvenile center, where her mugshot and fingerprints were taken. She even had to stand on a stool so her booking photo could be taken, her grandmother said.

Terrible. :snoop:

So a is 6 year old being violent with adults (and presumably children). What's the solution? I agree that jail aint it. I also agree that putting your hands on that child ain't it. Call the parents... but in the mean time? It may be preferable in these situations that adults at the school are allowed to physically restrain and isolate a violent child. :jbhmm:

Any adult can restrain a six year old :rudy: just put her ass in a room somewhere until her parents get there.

breh you got a limited ass view of shyt! All kids wild out! Thinking white kids are angels foh!

I don't have a limited view of anything.

I was a behavioral counselor for a fourth of my life, I know first hand the type of behavior that kids typically exhibit, what causes them, and how to stop them.

You have limited reading comprehension skills if that is what you got from my comment.

I know damn well white kids aren't angels, I answered the question presented to me honestly.

As far as the "all kids wild out" bullshyt, there's a difference between "wildin out" and putting your hands on school staff.

It's weird to me that some of you actually think what she was accused of is normal behavior for a 6 year old.

This type of acceptance of very abnormal behavior is a big reason why some kids think it's cool to go to school and act out like she did.

WHAT IS THE TEACHER SUPPOSED TO DO EXACTLY?

Call for security. The cops is couple of steps too far. However, students putting their hands on educators is a problem people have been flagging for a while now. If they're comfortable doing it now, they're going to be worse when they come of age. It's a reason why the public school system is in shambles.
