Any adult can restrain a six year old :rudy: just put her ass in a room somewhere until her parents get there.

This is false as well.

Any adult can not restrain a 6 year old.

You actually can't restrain kids in school unless you're a resource (police) officer assigned to the school or a mental health counselor assigned to that child with a signed waiver from the parent giving you permission to restrain the child using things like "Handle With Care."

A lot of people have lost their careers putting their hands on children who were wildin out.

When kids are in school putting themselves, other children, and school staff in danger, no matter how old they are, staff is supposed to call the police if they can't get them under control.

Call for security. The cops is couple of steps too far. However, students putting their hands on educators is a problem people have been flagging for a while now. If they're comfortable doing it now, they're going to be worse when they come of age. It's a reason why the public school system is in shambles.

Most elementary schools don't have school security.

And a big reason the public school system is in shambles is the fact that people send their kids to school and expect the school to educate them, raise them, feed them, then send them back home as a finished product.

Public schools are fukked up because a lot of parents don't take responsibility for their child's behavior and place blame on every one but themselves.

Not one post in here, besides mine, asked the real question of what type of parent raises a child that thinks it's cool to walk into school and hit school staff.

This is one of the main reasons I left my career after 10 years.

I got tired of caring more about the wellbeing of other people's kids than their own parents.

And you co-sign this?

So you can’t even break up a fight?

That's what security is for. Risk snatching them up if you want. We've gotten very far away from being able to discipline students. My brother is leaving his post as a Dean at the end of the academic year because the inability to discipline due to lawsuits and wanting to keep a "clean" record makes the work environment harder than it should be.

Terrible. :snoop:

Yeah. We agree.
It may be preferable in these situations that adults at the school are allowed to physically restrain and isolate a violent child. :jbhmm:

See?

There are parents, especially in this litigious society, for whom even that is too much. I'm not one of them, but they exist. Any physical contact between an adult and their child, even if it's to restrain and isolate that child will be met with lawsuits and even violence from the parents.

I wonder how those parents feel about their violent kids being arrested though.:yeshrug:
