Also, can we acknowledge that the child was calm by the time the officer got there? Why wouldn't you just call the child's grandmother and have her take the child home at that point? 6 year olds throw tantrums, period. I'm not saying that the teachers weren't rightfully fed up with the child's behavior but calling the police and allowing them to cuff a calm 6 year old makes no sense. If they are burnt out, then QUIT. Those teachers KNEW it wasn't right. There's a longer video that shows a cop talking to the staff after the child is taken away and you could see the guilt all over their faces. There are so many problems with this.

the alternative is giving schools the ability to discipline children like it used to be :martin: folks asked for this over decades and this is the result of taking that power away from the school staff

you probably think you're invincible too until its you that getting yoked up :skip:

right and wrong be damned dont touch my child :blessed: teachers :hubie:then be upset when they defer discipline to the state

I respect your response. It makes sense. Start spanking these children again.
:ehh:

You made sense, and you responded like a man. I recant me calling you a c00n.

it’s not actually.... everybody’s inaction means we support bad policy that only effects us negatively.... In glad our ancestors/elders didn’t have y’all’s spirit of fear when it comes to crackers

I don't agree with the argument, but I could understand not wanting to put your hands on another person's child, especially in these times. That is a controversial issue.

WHAT IS THE TEACHER SUPPOSED TO DO EXACTLY?
Arresting a 6-year old is obviously ridiculous.:beli:

But what should the recourse be for a child that's violent with adults?
Imagine being the parent of a 6 year old that is in school putting her hands on adults.
I went to a predominantly white school for a little bit when I was a child, and even they didn't call the cops when the kids were unruly and violent. :mjlol:
No it’s not.

It’s good she got that scare early in life.

I bet she’ll keep her hands to herself next time.
Clearly the Orlando police chief disagrees with you. :yeshrug:
That’s not true either.

I’ve seen the police called on white kids too.
I've never. :hubie:
Fired Orlando cop who arrested 6-year-olds said school faculty member wanted to press charges against girl, report shows
Easily flustered adults, who are unfit to be teachers. This much is clear.

:hubie:
Punch teachers 6 year old brehettes
Stuff happens. I don't see the point in charging a 6yr old with battery. Makes sense to you?

That's asking for plenty of lawsuits. There are "special needs" children that may pinch or hit on occasion when they're frustrated or can't communicate effectively. Instead of correcting and improving their behavior, they should be arrested too, huh?
:stopitslime:
They won't answer these questions. Patience and logic is lost on some of these users.

Arrest em all is what they want.

I don't have a limited view of anything.

I was a behavioral counselor for a fourth of my life, I know first hand the type of behavior that kids typically exhibit, what causes them, and how to stop them.

You have limited reading comprehension skills if that is what you got from my comment.

I know damn well white kids aren't angels, I answered the question presented to me honestly.

As far as the "all kids wild out" bullshyt, there's a difference between "wildin out" and putting your hands on school staff.

It's weird to me that some of you actually think what she was accused of is normal behavior for a 6-year-old.

This type of acceptance of very abnormal behavior is a big reason why some kids think it's cool to go to school and act out like she did.

That statement was limited damn near indefensible what the fukk does race have to do with on how a child acts.

Children regardless of race or economic background act up period.

i was a bad ass kid that had to learn the hard way multiple times :unimpressed: i know what my son will do (or atleast will be capable of) and knowing that he may go into a world where noone contests him already has me irritated

when i see other parents or potential ones they must understand that respect allows for civility, and civility for business and personal exchange

if children have no respect, there will be no civility or exchange :wow:
