Two white women try to lock someone in a store, over $50 that was picked up from the floor. I'm not respecting their authority either. Waiting for police to arrive, doesn't seem like the move to me either. They could then say that you stole $100 out of the register. Grandma doesn't know if those cameras work. I wish that she would have made it out of the store. Shame on those employees for doing all of that over $50 on the ground. So nobody gonna be honest? This wasn't a jumping. The physicality came when she hit them with the cart an went after the other girls throat. I don't know if they had the authority to lock the store door to keep her in there but once she hit them with the cart and went after other girls throat they restrained her. Thread title makes it seem they just started wildin' on her out the blue.
If old lady was in the right, she should've waited for the police or her family. Once you initiate physicality you put yourself in harms way from a physical and legal standpoint.

You would expect two white women, who would lock you in a store over money that you found, to tell the truth? White folks have been lying on black people since the police got started. I can't fault her for fighting to try to get out. I'm surprised she didn't just put the money in her purse and keep it moving.Of course it was petty. But you never have a right to put hands on folks. You're coming up with all these hypothetical scenarios to justify bad judgement. "Why wait for the police when they might try to frame you when they arrive." If you feel you're in the right, then deal with it the best way you can. But thinking you can fight 3 people and it end well phyicall or legally is bad judgement.
People always try to go up the chain authority for no reason when they get an answer they don't like.Employees were doing tho most.
That ol’ lady knew she was wrong tho tryna run up out that store quick talkin bout “I’ll bring it back if y’all get the owner”![]()

I remember when i worked in grocery store,
regularly, had encounters like this;
Customer: How much are the skittles?
Me: $2 dollars.
Customer: the rack where i picked it up said 99 cents
Me: I apologize for the confusion but its two dollars.
Customer: Let me speak to the manager.
Manager: Can i help you?
Customer: How much are the skittles?
Manager Turns to me: How much are the skittles?
Me: $2
Manager Turns back to the customer: They're $2
Customer: You guys have terrible customer service. let me speak to the owner.

Except the sign wasn't wrong, they just picked up some skittles from a section somebody had left it in after changing their mind and putting it back in the wrong place. if someone leaves a frozen pizza with the hotpockets you don't get to complain your way into paying hotpocket prices for it.I was taught that, by NYS law, prices are as marked. An administrative mistake shouldn't effect the customer. Take the L, change the sign, and do better next time.
That customer service was terrible.

and this is usually the case when that happens, its rarely a true pricing error.
Then you left out the most pertinent part.I was taught that, by NYS law, prices are as marked. An administrative mistake shouldn't effect the customer. Take the L, change the sign, and do better next time.
