Because the story kept getting twisted by Eboni K and the people who defended her. Vanzant was making a point about not being a gold-digger. Somewhere along the way Eboni turned it into a screed against all black men. Here we are right now. No one will be bothered by Jackee because she's not being disingenuous or making this an issue on all black men like Eboni did.

It's the same reason they get mad when s man say he don't date single mothers. They shamed a black man and said he wasn't high value for stating his preference.
The host of the show jumped on him and also the man sitting next to him. The man had paper which is all that high value is about. It's not about your personality. They couldn't little boy him on his accomplishments. So they changed the narrative.
I think this is where the issue comes into focus. Men generally don’t really give a damn about what a woman has resource wise.
Maybe that’s what needs to change.
