Something in his contract stipulates that he has to have a certain amount of top 5 or number 1 records. Cause he's stressing too much bout numbers.

24 Hour Security aint cheap:manny:
He's stressing because like Drake's infamous line "all that hype don't feel the same next year". If he doing 50k with all this attention on him now....well what happens next year when the trolling shyt ppl stop caring about which people are already over with? nikka begging Gillie to interview him.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
How did he blow up again? It seemed like he just came outta nowhere with no co-signs or a stimulus package feature from a big artist (like Drake). I don’t even remember how I heard of him, but I know it wasn’t the music
His hair, style and his first video... In this era, you need to stand out to go viral and everything about him stood out. Who was this NYC nikka in the southern era, white boy in black rap, pink hair when hip hop was nothing like that, with a fruity grill, a legit gang, and rapping that old school fight music, with tats all over his face???

College kids LOVED it... Younger kids LOVED it... It was our era who was against it the whole time, while kids was streaming it... Then he took it further with the gangsta tales and never getting beat up... Kids thought he was god out here, pressing these "old nikkas".

Guess the kids see through it too now and have moved on. Nobody wanna hear that tough talk from someone they KNOW is p*ssy.

I legitimately thought he was going to return with a whoa is me story and get the world on his side with how he made wrong decisions and so on. Was very surprised that he went right back to all the old over the top trolling stuff. There wasn’t anything new brought to the table promotionally, plus his prior songs were Atleast mildly entertaining. New music sucks and I think people have already seen his antics more than enough...

:yeshrug:

I thought about that too but that only works if:
a) you are really talented and drop dope music (like Ross after C.o. accustations and R. Kelly after the sextape)
b) are sincerely apologetic (Mase attempted this more or less back in 04 and it didn't work and he went back to Murda Mase in G-unit run which basically ended his career)
I know it's apples and oranges comparing what Ross, Kelly and Mase did but still...
He basically said in the NY times interview that he doesn't know how to do either, so he chose the short route that only led to two "hit songs" because people checked in to see how the first one would sound when he got home and the fact that someone like Nicki would actually work with him and how she looked in the video. He dropped that bullshyt video he shot on Broadway at 7am on a Saturday morning with a bunch of kids that work at Best buy trying to be tough again and no one gave a f8ck.
